June is PTSD Awareness Month!
This month is dedicated to raising awareness, deepening understanding, and supporting those who are living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD can affect anyone – veterans, first responders, survivors of violence, individuals who have experienced accidents, loss, or other traumatic events. And while it may not always be visible, its impact is very real.
PTSD is not a sign of weakness, and healing is not something anyone has to do alone. Symptoms can show up in many ways – anxiety, flashbacks, difficulty sleeping, emotional distress, or feeling constantly on edge – but with the right support, recovery is possible.
At System of Care, we are committed to connecting individuals and families with the resources and care they need. Whether someone is taking their first step toward support or continuing their healing journey, we are here to help guide and walk alongside them.
Most importantly, we want to remind anyone who is struggling: you are not alone, and help is available. Let’s continue building a community where understanding, compassion, and support lead the way.
